# AGF (Automated Guided Forklift)

AGF (Automated Guided Forklift) is simply a special type of [**AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle)**](https://www.o2oh.com/glossary/agv-automated-guided-vehicle).

These robots are built to do precisely what standard forklifts do: lift, stack, and move pallets or heavy loads around warehouses and factories.

Modern AGFs use advanced guidance systems, such as lasers or inertial systems, often augmented by [**AI**](https://www.o2oh.com/glossary/artificial-intelligence), enabling them to navigate accurately and safely without a driver. They automate vertical handling, boosting storage efficiency while reducing the risk of human accidents.
