Annealing

Written by one to ONE Holdings | Feb 10, 2026 10:02:49 AM

Annealing is a heat treatment in which processed metals are heated and then cooled slowly.

Annealing removes internal residual stress and creates a more uniform crystal structure. This process softens the metal and improves its workability and toughness.

Although annealing is commonly used in steel sheet processing, it may be omitted when the main goal is to increase tensile strength.
