The Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) is the principal industry association representing Japanese steel manufacturers and trading companies.

Established to enhance the industry's competitiveness, it serves as a main hub  for technical standardization, environmental policy coordination, and international industrial diplomacy.

JISF leads the sector's long-term sustainability efforts, including the roadmap toward carbon neutrality by 2050. It facilitates technical research and maintains active dialogue with global bodies like the World Steel Association to promote harmonized industrial standards.
