Non-Fossil Electricity

Non-fossil electricity is generated without fossil fuels, including coal, oil, or natural gas. It includes renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass, and nuclear energy.

In the steel industry, products manufactured with non-fossil electricity are called "non-fossil electricity steel" and are mainly produced using Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF).

For corporations, using non-fossil electricity helps prevent global warming and supports CO₂ emission reduction targets. It also strengthens corporate branding and public relations by demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability.
