# What Is Industry 6.0?: AI and Humans to Reshape Manufacturing

7 April 2025 — A new article by Shinichiro (SHIN) Nakamura of one to ONE Holdings envisions that Industry 6.0, emerging around 2050, will reshape manufacturing through AI, quantum computing, and advanced robotics.

The article, "[Industry 6.0: How the Next Industrial Revolution Will Reshape Manufacturing](https://www.automation.com/en-us/articles/april-2025/industry-6-industrial-revolution-manufacturing?listname=Automation%20&%20Control%20News%20&%20Articles)," explores the transformative role of AI, quantum computing, and advanced robotics in the coming decades.

It forecasts a shift in worker roles towards complex problem-solving alongside hyperautomation. Sustainability, driven by responsible factories and a circular economy, will become central.

The article emphasizes the need for human-machine synergy, effective workforce training, cybersecurity, and AI auditing for a transparent and accountable manufacturing ecosystem.
