LLM

Large Language Models (LLMs) represent sophisticated versions of artificial intelligence programs built using deep learning, specifically the Transformer architecture. 

Trained on colossal datasets of text and code, LLMs are designed to understand, generate, and predict human language with advanced fluency and context sensitivity. Their capability stems from the sheer scale of the model (billions of parameters) and the data used for training.

LLMs are transforming fields from content creation and customer service to programming and scientific summarization. Their primary function is to process and produce human-quality text, making them a powerful interface for accessing and generating information across almost every domain.

In the context of Agentic AI, however, this capability extends well beyond text generation. In an Agentic AI system, the LLM serves as the reasoning core of each AI Agent by interpreting instructions, formulating multi-step plans, selecting appropriate tools, and evaluating whether actions achieve their intended outcomes.

The key distinction is not that an LLM 'knows' everything, but that it excels at translating ambiguous intent, such as 'reduce downtime on Line 3,' into structured, executable logic for downstream systems, even when the process is not explicitly defined.
