SCADA

SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is an essential industrial control system used to monitor and regulate industrial processes either on-site or remotely. It's a system architecture that comprises computers, connected data communications, and graphical user interfaces for advanced process oversight management.

The primary role of SCADA is to gather data in real-time from different sensors and equipment, process this information, and subsequently send commands back to the field devices. This capability enables operators to supervise and manage complex infrastructure, including power grids, water treatment plants, oil pipelines, and manufacturing operations. Its ability to provide real-time visibility and control is fundamental for operational efficiency, safety, and reliability in critical infrastructure.
