Clean Technology Manufacturing (CTM)

Clean Technology Manufacturing (CTM) is the industrial sector producing core components for the energy transition, such as solar PV, batteries, wind turbines, heat pumps, and electrolyzers.

CTM is vital because it directly enables global net-zero goals. The rapid scale-up of CTM is necessary to meet the massive demand for decarbonization.

Crucially, CTM involves establishing resilient, sustainable supply chains and minimizing embedded carbon, moving beyond simply using clean energy to ensuring the products themselves are manufactured cleanly. Achieving this clean manufacturing standard requires intense innovation in processes and materials.
